H. Clarke Moning

     H. Clarke Moning married Pat Zentz. He was born on 9 April 1937 at Columbus, Ohio. He died on 6 December 2021 at Hagerstown, Md., at age 84; HENRY CLARKE MONING, “Buck”, 84, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Doey’s House of the Hospice of Washington County. Born April 9, 1937, in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Henry Albert and Laura Eleanor Carlson Moning.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary A. Moning and Vernon G. Moning.

Buck was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School, and later attended Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA. He was employed as a manufacturing engineer by Mack Trucks and retired in 1999 after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed retirement, especially time at home spent with his devoted family and pets. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was also active in DeMolay International in his younger years.

He is survived by his wife Pat Zentz Moning of Hagerstown; stepdaughter Kim Woltman and her husband Shawn of Cape Coral, FL; stepson Daniel Thorpe and his fiancée Kristy Pepple of Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughter Lisa Fischer and her husband Charlie of Hagerstown; his son Todd Moning and wife Ren of Victoria, MN; and his son Brad Moning and wife Maria of Crofton, MD; grandchildren Charles Fischer III, Ryan Fischer, Rachel Moning, and Natalie Moning; step-grandchildren Dylan Pepple and Kullin Thorpe, and several great-grandchildren.

There will be no services held as the family follows Buck’s wishes.
